PropertyDirector launched a new Vacancy Rates Ranking report earlier this year, which generates a ranking of the Top 100 suburbs in Australia with the lowest and highest rental vacancy rates.
This is an excellent addition to the property investor's toolkit, to show suburbs with the tightest rental vacancies (which indicates high rental demand), and suburbs with the highest vacancy rates (which indicates minimum suburb rental demand).
See below the Top 100 suburbs with the lowest vacancy rates in Australia for March 2024. This report can be run for any time range, from Jan 2019 until now.
Here are a few interesting suburbs from the Top 100 with low vacancy rates::
Ranked #18: Deniliquin, NSW (2710) - 0.23%
Ranked #43: Bayswater, WA (6053) - 0.18%
Ranked #81: Bonnyrigg, NSW (2177) - 0.27%
Ranked #89: Doonside, NSW (2767) - 0.28%
Western Australia and South Australia form a vast majority of these suburbs, indicating the high rental demand in these states.
